Sandbridge Fishing

Most Sandbridge Bay/Canal homes are located on canals that lead out
to Back Bay. Fortunately, many homes offer boat docks that are ideal
for fishing and crabbing. There's nothing quite like sitting on a
peaceful dock and "wetting your line". It's a perfect way to
begin to unwind and relax on your vacation.

And don't forget, you can saltwater fish off the beach (permit required) or head to the
Little Island Fishing Pier located at the southend of the beach.
Pier hours of operation are 5:30 am - 11:00 pm. $5 Adults / Kids
8 and under - Free.

Fishing on the Beach:
You are welcome to fish along the beach at Sandbridge.
Please be observant of swimmers and use caution.
Fishing permits are
required for surf fishing.

Fishing permits are required by law for all fishing in Sandbridge.
Permits are
available at the local WalMart located at Red Mill Commons Shopping Center just a few minutes away.

Boating Information
|
Boating Rules and Safety:
It is unlawful for anyone to launch or land a motorboat, sailboat,
jet ski, or any other vessel on the beach at Sandbridge between the hours of
10:00am and 5:00pm, except on the last 400' of beach south of Little Island Park.
The canals are a "No Wake Zone". Boats should not come within 100 yards of shore line.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed while boating. Life jackets should be worn at
all times.
Boat Ramps:
If the beach home you have rented does not provide a boat ramp, you
may launch your boat free at Mill Landing Road Ramp (off Princess Anne Road in Pungo)
or for a small fee at North Bay Shore Campground located off Sandbridge Road
near Margie and Ray's.
